Return and Refund Policy
Last updated: 13 Sep 2026
This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made from LITTLE BEES (PTY) LTD, registration number 2026/731859/07, through littlebees.co.za.
At Little Bees, we want our customers to be satisfied with their purchases. This policy explains when a product may be returned and when a refund, repair or replacement may be provided.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights available to customers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or any other applicable South African law.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns
Little Bees does not accept returns or provide refunds where a customer has simply changed their mind or no longer wants the product.
Little Bees also does not offer exchanges for another size, colour or product where the customer has changed their mind.
Customers are encouraged to review the product description, dimensions, colours, specifications and other relevant information carefully before placing an order.
This restriction does not apply where the customer has a statutory cooling-off right or where the product is defective, unsafe, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description.
2. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Customers should inspect their products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If a product is defective, unsafe, damaged on arrival, materially different from its website description or not the product ordered, the customer should contact Little Bees as soon as possible.
The customer should provide:
-
Their order number;
-
A description of the problem;
-
Clear photographs or a short video showing the product and the issue; and
-
Photographs of the packaging if the product arrived damaged.
This information helps us assess and resolve the matter promptly. A request for photographs or supporting information does not remove or reduce any statutory rights available to the customer.
Qualifying defective or unsafe products may be returned in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including the applicable six-month statutory warranty. Where the Act applies, the customer may be entitled to choose a repair, replacement or refund.
If Little Bees repairs a product and the defect is not corrected, or a further defect appears within three months after the repair, Little Bees will provide the remedy required under applicable law.
Where a return is accepted because a product is defective, damaged on arrival, incorrect or materially different from what was ordered, Little Bees will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable return-delivery costs where required by law.
Where a replacement is provided for a defective, damaged or incorrect product, it is a remedy for the reported problem and is not a voluntary exchange.
3. What Is Not Ordinarily Considered a Defect
Subject to applicable consumer law, a product will not ordinarily be considered defective where the issue results from:
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Accidental or deliberate damage;
-
Misuse or improper handling;
-
Incorrect assembly or installation by the customer or a third party;
-
Failure to follow the product’s care, safety or operating instructions;
-
Alterations or repairs not authorised by Little Bees;
-
Improper storage;
-
Damage occurring after delivery; or
-
A customer simply changing their mind about the product.
Minor differences in colour or appearance may occur because of lighting, photography, screen settings or normal manufacturing variations. These minor differences will not ordinarily be considered defects unless the product is materially different from its description or representation.
4. Cancelling an Order Before Dispatch
Customers who wish to request cancellation of an order should contact Little Bees as soon as possible.
Little Bees does not guarantee that an order can be cancelled after it has been placed.
If an order has not yet been processed or dispatched, Little Bees may agree to cancel it at its discretion.
Where Little Bees has already incurred reasonable costs in processing an approved voluntary cancellation, those costs may be deducted from the refund to the extent permitted by law.
Orders that have already been dispatched cannot ordinarily be cancelled outside any statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights available to the customer.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or cooling-off right provided by applicable law.
5. How to Request a Return
Before returning a product, the customer must contact Little Bees using the details below:
Email:
The customer should provide:
-
Their order number;
-
The reason for the requested return;
-
A description of the problem; and
-
Any relevant photographs, videos or supporting information.
Once the request has been assessed, Little Bees will provide the customer with return instructions and the applicable return address.
Products must not be returned without first contacting Little Bees. Products must also not be sent directly to a supplier, manufacturer or any other address without written instructions from Little Bees.
Customers should package returned products securely and include all parts, accessories and documentation supplied with the product.
Where the customer is responsible for the return-delivery cost under applicable law, we recommend using a tracked delivery service. The customer remains responsible for the product until it is received by Little Bees.
6. Inspection of Returned Products
All returned products may be inspected after receipt to confirm the reported issue and determine the appropriate remedy.
Little Bees may decline a return if, following a reasonable assessment, the product is found not to be defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise eligible for return under this policy or applicable law.
Little Bees will not refuse a genuine claim or impose a deduction where doing so would conflict with the customer’s statutory rights.
7. Refunds
Once a returned product has been received and assessed, Little Bees will notify the customer of the outcome.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be issued using the customer’s original payment method.
Although Little Bees will process approved refunds as soon as reasonably possible, the time taken for the funds to reflect may depend on the customer’s bank or payment provider.
Where the original payment method cannot reasonably be used, Little Bees and the customer may agree to another refund method.
Delivery charges and reasonable return costs will be refunded where required by law.
Little Bees will not require a customer to accept store credit or a replacement instead of a monetary refund where the customer is legally entitled to choose a monetary refund.
8. Misuse of the Returns Process
Little Bees may refuse a return where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, deliberate damage, misuse or abuse of this policy.
This provision will not be used to deny a genuine claim or any right available under applicable consumer law.
